New Music from The Maine

The Maine have been busy gearing up for the release of their newest album Lovely Little Lonely, out April 7th.

Today they released their second single off the much anticipated album titled “Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu” as a follow up to the first single off the album,”Bad Behavior,” released a little over a month ago just prior to 8123 Fest.

The boys have been busy since the new year with the first (hopefully annual) 8123 Fest to celebrate ten years with The Maine. The festival included sets from John the Ghost, Brighten, Beach Weather, A Rocket to the Moon (their first show in years and undoubtedly a crowd favorite), The Summer Set, and, of course, The Maine. In the days leading up to the festival there was an 8123 pop-up shop and an intimate show in which they played their beloved third album Pioneer from front to back at the Crescent Ballroom. The Sunday after the fest they also had a free for all meet and greet.

Prior to the release of this second single today, The Maine also introduced a new “We Are 8123” section of their website which allows fans to participate as record sales representatives, to host pop-up shows locally, and even to get their name in the credits for the album. They have indicated that we have been their record label and have decided to allow us the opportunity to listen to it, share it, and love it. It is obvious that this band genuinely cares for its fans, the people who support them, and their 8123 family.

I cannot think of a band more deserving of the success they have achieved and the success that is yet to come.
